Training and Curriculum
- Comprehensive instruction in media production including video editing, audio production, image editing, and animation using industry-standard tools and programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and Avid Pro Tools.
- Emphasis on career readiness and skill development aligned with industry needs and focuses.
- A structured blend of 60% practical and 40% theoretical styled instruction.
Eligibility and Enrollment
- Open to school-enrolled individuals with a recommendation letter and access to transportation.
- Selection involves a review of personal statements, letters of recommendation, and interviews to assess commitment and suitability.
Work-Based Learning
- Hands-on experiences through structured projects and real-world applications in Media Arts and Communications.
- Opportunities for formal work experiences and/or job shadowing in occupational sectors and events.
Support and Accessibility
- Participants receive career counseling, access to supportive services such as transportation and childcare, as well as referrals to additional community resources as needed.
Partnerships
- Collaboration with Registered Apprenticeship programs to assist participants in transitioning to advanced training and/or industry roles.
- Connections with State and Local Career/Workforce Development Programs such as OhioMeansJobs Centers for streamlined services and connections to potential job opportunities for participants.
