HOW WE STARTED

The Heart of Job Foundation was created by Job Clarkson in 2017. As an Artist, Technical Director, and Executive producer Job has worked in the music industry for over 13 years. In 2006, Job established his record label Black Box Entertainment and later created his Music production company Music Evolved. He has worked in all facets of the business, working his way up over the course of his illustrious career. Job’s art has taken him many places, most notably his collaborations with Ludacris, T.I., Rick Ross, and Grammy winner Luney Tunez, E-40, FX Network Documentary Hip-Hop Uncovered, many commercials and sound design video games.

Growing up in Columbus, Ohio Job lived in an unstable household and fell victim to the allure of the streets. After making a series of bad choices and getting in trouble with the law, Job’s friend took him to visit a recording studio. On that fateful day, Job fell in love with music and his life took a new direction. Instead of hanging out in the streets, he only wanted to hang out in the studio and learn the business from the ground up. It’s this experience that inspired him to create Heart of Job, to give kids the opportunity to turn their lives around through music. Heart of Job provides kids the chance to learn real-life skills and steer their futures in the right direction. Job feels blessed that his passion for music and uplifting his community has come to fruition through his foundation. As HOJ grows, Job has his sights set on expanding into other countries and developing new programs to empower youth.
